Production Notes for Preliminary Task

Production Notes For the Preliminary Task.

what worked well?

I think the fact that we only had 2 hours of practicing time for our edit and we had to create a film in the last hour; I think got the hang of the software pretty quickly, which was also a very good and semi-professional program, which benefited me to produced a decent film. The music really helped the film, as I went for a comedy and utilized and adapted the music into fitting with the footage; so it had a continuous flow throughout.

What would you do differently?

I wasn't in when we had to create the footage due to EID, but next time I would definitely try and come in to help with the filming, as it would help me in my further media studies. Also next time instead of making a comedy , I might go for something more serious as it was hard to make a film that would hit everyone's sense of humour; whereas a serious film wouldn't be as hard to hit the requirements. Overall if my group had to make changes; we would try and introduce more camera shots and camera angles to draw out the simplicity in our filming, also to try and make it more complex and intriguing.

Overview:

Overall, I'm happy with our production. I think we reached our goal of creating a comedy short film and in my opinion I think we demonstrated the techniques quite well. During the filming period, we had recorded so much footage and towards the editing process we ended up  scrapping half of our clips.
